I am a wife (married in 1983 when feathered hair was fashionable), a mother (a daughter and a son) and a Nonnie (2 fantastic little boys). In 2017 my husband and I put our house up for sale (where we had lived for 20+ years), retired from our jobs (one which I had worked at for 18 years) and moved from Georgia (where I had lived since age 12) to North Carolina (where our grandbabies live). What were we thinking (who the heck knows)? I found myself in an uncharted world, I had left all my comforts behind … most of my family, all of my friends, my job, my grocery store, my dentist… everything was different. I was different. And I floundered…like a fish out of water. I needed to find a new comfort. Something just for me. Something that was joyful, something that brought passion, something that was available when it was raining (which it does a lot here) or freezing cold (which it is a lot here)… something that included my love for nature and photography and words. So here I am…. Welcome and thanks for stopping by. If you live close enough, I can make you a cup of coffee… if not, I hope you have a cup handy.
